Comments on HelloFresh: Meal Kit & Recipes for Android

★★★★☆ Sean Monahan · Sep 7, 2026

I'm giving 4 out of 5 stars for one complaint: The app cooking instructions are too large to fit on the screen, with no way to scroll down. Even at the smallest font size, the text is too big to fit. You *must* use the provided recipe cards if you want to see the entirety of the text for each step. It was not always like this - this changed within the last few months.

Love the food. Every recipe I've tried has been amazing and a perfect portion. I have dealt with customer service on several occasions. They have either been very helpful and prompt at fixing my problem (canceling a box I forgot to skip). The last time I dealt with customer service it was not working and my issue was not resolved. I commented that on my feedback, and they made up for it and then some. Thank you so much! Can't wait for my box coming up, I wish I could get them every week.

Easy to use. Meals are great. Can choose what you want.

I made an account as I thought I'd try with their 50% off offer. The offer wasn't applied and a box for 3 meals was going to cost over £40! I immediately cancelled the service and received a confirmation email, then days later they charged me anyway. When I contacted support to request a refund they responded "unfortunately the order has been processed and is arriving tomorrow, so we cannot cancel or issue a refund" beware overpriced food that you cannot cancel.

The app is fine. The service itself, not so great. I enjoyed it at first, but receiving incomplete meal kits that I didn't order, meal kits that were missing ingredients, or spoiled, rotten chicken and veggies led me to cancel. They won't refund money, only offer a credit for the missing ingredient. A credit is useless to me since I have cancelled my subscription because of all the issues with missing or rotten ingredients.
