I recently joined after a 9-year break from Home Chef. I'm very disappointed in the meal options and what they mark as "premium" and "culinary" to charge more...for example burgers are higher priced. The meals are spice heavy (mostly Spanish and Asian options) and overall limited. Lots of trout, turkey, and pork dishes. Hoping I can cancel soon.

Home Chef used to be top-notch, now it's just barely average. Overall quality has quickly gone downhill over the past year. The good - • Good recipes, quality ingredients about 90% of the time • Decent value, about comparable to the cost of grocery shopping in my area, for my family/serving size. The bad - • Ever since they switched from FedEx to Veho Ive had nothing but problems with my deliveries. Orders arriving late or not at all, etc. • Sometimes the recipes will be missing ingredients

The app worked fine, it Home Chef-Tempo that was disgusting. Ready-made meals by Tempo, so spicy it burns my mouth every bite and my husband and I, do not like hot spicy food and ale dente cooked string beans!

The free dessert is a lie. They are able to select meals for you every week, but you have to go in and select the free dessert by hand every week. Otherwise they will select a dessert at regular price. And most weeks there is no free dessert option. Do not fall for this!
