I recently joined after a 9-year break from Home Chef. I'm very disappointed in the meal options and what they mark as "premium" and "culinary" to charge more...for example burgers are higher priced. The meals are spice heavy (mostly Spanish and Asian options) and overall limited. Lots of trout, turkey, and pork dishes. Hoping I can cancel soon.

Food was great, and I like that they sent a binder with your first order to keep the recipe cards in. After the first month, every other week, we began to receive only half of our orders. Customer service was responsive and respectful, but hard to continue to justify when constantly not receiving the full order.

The free dessert is a lie. They are able to select meals for you every week, but you have to go in and select the free dessert by hand every week. Otherwise they will select a dessert at regular price. And most weeks there is no free dessert option. Do not fall for this!
