A fast, focused hex editor for Android. Open any binary file — PNG, ZIP, ELF, firmware, save games, network captures, archives — and read it the way developers do: byte by byte, hex and ASCII side by side.

Hex Editor is built for engineers, reverse-engineers, security researchers, students, and anyone who needs to peek inside a file. It's read-only by default — your data is never modified unless you explicitly switch to edit mode. Everything happens on-device. There is no account, no telemetry, no cloud, no ads when you upgrade.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

• Open any file via SAF — no permission prompts beyond what Android already shows.
• View hex + ASCII side by side. Smooth paged scrolling handles files up to gigabytes.
• Search for hex patterns ("89 50 4E 47") or ASCII strings, jump between matches.
• Goto offset — decimal, hex, or a math expression (0x1000 + 16).
• Bookmark interesting offsets and jump back any time.
• Data inspector: int8/16/32/64, uint, float32/64, LE/BE, bit grid, header bytes.
• Hash any range — MD5, SHA-1, SHA-256, CRC32 — for quick verification.
• Extract strings — ASCII, UTF-16 LE, UTF-16 BE — minimum length tunable.
• Compare two files byte-by-byte with diff offsets, navigation, and shift detection.
• Auto-detect file structure for PNG, ZIP, PE, and ELF — chunk and section regions.
• Histogram and entropy for any selection — spot compressed or encrypted blobs at a glance.
• Edit bytes, insert, delete, replace, apply binary patches. Full undo / redo history.
• Export to xxd or Intel-HEX. Re-import patches and replay them on another file.
