Hitachi Wi-Fi Speaker

★★★★★ Great but....... Would love to be able to control the mode of the speaker with this app. Wi-Fi to Bluetooth would be excellent.

★★☆☆☆ No, No No! The device itself takes a couple of minutes to turn on. Every time you turn it on it wants to go through this long Wi-Fi negotiation first. I don't use its Wi-Fi. I would if my phone would Wi-Fi to it, but it appears that it also requires a router for the Wi-Fi claim to work. I use it as a Bluetooth speaker so this pointless delay every time I turn it on. After this pointless delay for nonexistent it will not auto negotiate with a phone or tablet either. You must handle both devices to tell each one that you want them to communicate via BT today before you can listen to music. All of this delay and required interaction makes me want to smash it every time I turn it on. Add that unbelievably stupid hardware design is capped off with not-so-great sound. If you touch your nose to it then you get decent stereo separation but as soon as you back off more than a foot it becomes mono, and you lose all the stereo richness completely. Add to the fact that every rating on this site is horrible. This many ratings that are 'this bad' are inexcusable. No one should support a company with ratings this horrible no one should support the company that cares this little about its product and about his customers this company should be destroyed by lack of business.

★★☆☆☆ Doesn't work with my Wi-Fi. Couldn't get it to connect with my Wi-Fi. Hitachi customer support stated that their wireless speakers and App don't work with WPA/WPA2 security modes which my router uses.
