Previously I was a user of a rival countdown app, but uninstalled it when the ads became intrusive. After looking for an alternative, I settled on Holiday Countdown. This app does pretty much everything I need. It provides the capability to monitor multiple forthcoming events, and also to count up from previous notable dates, too. The app can be customized to show your choice of background image. One star docked as it reads out in days, hours and minutes without being able to choose days only

Used to love this app and used it for all my holidays. But you can no longer add a photo of your destination. It just says 'access denied' when you try to do it. Uninstalled, cleared cache and data but still no joy.

Access Denied Can no longer add your own photos to your countdown. Even when they are your own photograph's. Very annoying. Looking for a new app!!!
