Enter your altitude once and tick the canners you own: water bath canning, atmospheric steam, and pressure canning with a dial or weighted gauge. Pick a food, the hot or raw pack and the jar size, and the app shows the processing time and pressure printed in the USDA Complete Guide to Home Canning (2015 revision) for your altitude band, with the headspace and the key steps. If the tables list no process for that combination, the app says so plainly. It never works out, adjusts or estimates a time, and never scales one to a jar size the tables do not list.

The app opens on today's batch. Log the food, jar count, lids and lot, then start the processing timer when the canner reaches a rolling boil or its target pressure. The countdown runs from the moment you started, so it stays right if the screen goes off, and it can keep the screen on while you work. Stay with your canner: the alert sounds while the app is open, and a background notice is best effort only.

SEAL CHECKS AND THE FRIDGE LIST
Twelve to twenty-four hours later, count sealed and unsealed jars. The counts must add up to the jars you processed. Unsealed jars go straight to the fridge list.
