Home Inventory for Insurance is a household inventory app for the day you need one: after a move, before a policy renewal, or after a loss. Catalog your belongings with photos, brand, model and serial number, so the list exists before a stressful week, not after it.

Attach photos from the camera or your library, mark one photo as the receipt (a simple flag, not a receipt scanner), and record the purchase date, purchase price, estimated value and warranty expiry. Search everything by name, brand, model or serial number.

CATALOG YOUR BELONGINGS
• Organize items room by room, starting from a set of rooms that matches your type of home
• Quick-add checklists of common items for the kitchen, bedroom, garage and more
• 10 categories, including jewelry and art & collectibles, so valuables get the same record as electronics and furniture
• Keep more than one property: a second home, a rental or a storage unit
• See item counts and total value per room, and spot spaces you have not updated lately
• Mark things you no longer own, and assign unsorted items in one go

OPTIONAL AI HELPERS
• AI value estimate: a suggested value from the item's name, brand, model and category, always labeled as an estimate, never an appraisal
• AI photo scan: detect several items in one photo to catalog faster
• Room sweep: photograph a space wall by wall and add what it finds
• Nameplate reader (Pro): fill in brand, model and serial number from a photo of the label
Before any of these runs, the app asks for your consent. The item text or the photo you choose is sent to a third-party AI service (OpenRouter) for that request. Say no and you can still add every item by hand.

• See replacement cost next to an estimated actual cash value, based on typical depreciation for each category
• Coverage gap (Pro): compare your inventory total with your policy's contents coverage
• Category limits (Pro): see where typical caps for jewelry, art or electronics could leave you short, and edit them to match your own policy
• Claim Readiness: find the valuable items with the weakest evidence first
• Proof-of-loss packet: a PDF with a cover sheet, tables with serial numbers and values, totals by category and a list of thinly documented items, ready to save or share
This app is not an insurance company or an appraiser. It does not file claims, and it cannot promise that a claim will be accepted or that any value is exact. It helps you keep the records an insurer may ask for.

Pro is a monthly or annual auto-renewing subscription billed through Google Play; cancel anytime in Google Play.

YOUR DATA
Your household inventory and photos are stored on your device, and no account is needed to start. If you sign in, Backup & Restore saves your rooms, items and policies (not photos) to your account, and only when you tap Back Up. Requests from the AI helpers go to the provider named above. The app uses Firebase for sign-in, analytics and crash reports, and shows ads to free users. Available in 10 languages.
