Hrimfall: Viking Roguelike

The Great Winter has begun. Fimbulvetr grips the Nine Realms, and only a warrior who survives the endless cold can bring back the dawn. Hrimfall is a dark Norse pixel-art roguelike you can play in short runs, completely offline.

HOW IT PLAYS
Battles run automatically, so your decisions are about building. Before every stage you draft 3 cards: sharper strikes, tougher armor, lifesteal, critical hits and special mechanics that change how a run feels. Read the fight, pick well, and stack your build until the boss falls. Speed up the action with 1x and 2x battle speed.

FOUR REALMS TO CONQUER
Cross hand-drawn maps through Midgard, Jötunheim, Helheim and Muspelheim. Around 50 stages plus side stages, each with its own enemies, guardians and a recommended power level to help you plan.

RAGNAROK TOWER
Reach level 10 and the Ragnarok Tower opens: an endless climb with no top floor. A boss waits every 15 floors, and enemies grow stronger the higher you go. Every climb tests your build. Compete on the weekly and monthly leaderboards to see where you rank.

LOOT, SETS AND THE BLACKSMITH
Find 147 items across six rarities, from humble gear to legendary relics. Combine pieces into sets for bonus effects. Merge four items of the same rarity and type into one of the next rarity, or take spare items to the blacksmith and sacrifice them to try to upgrade your best gear. Every upgrade is a chance, so choose what to risk.

A SHELTER TO REBUILD
Fimbulvetr burned your village, but one hut still stands. Make it your shelter and rebuild with timber and gold. Upgrade the Hut, Field, Woodshed, Well, Workshop and Rune Stone, each with its own bonus. The Workshop crafts a new item every 6 hours.

VALHALLA AND JÖRMUNGANDR
Every enemy you slay earns XP that raises your permanent player level, and every level grants a skill point. Spend points on the skill tree to unlock passive and active abilities, then equip two active abilities for battle. When you feel ready, enter the Jörmungandr challenge: 60 seconds, as much damage as you can deal, six reward tiers. Earn Serpent Scales and invest them in the Grace upgrade tree.
