Works great and cheap. Running on a tablet i can easily sync my videogames and movies to hue. Just point the camera at the tv and done. I've tried/wasted money on other apps to do this. Wish i would have found this app first. Mr developer is it possible to keep the app and camera running and turn the screen off? Any chance of a setting to save zoom level and brightness? Thankyou.

So glad this app exists! Hue Matcher is simple, efficient, gets the job done well, AND has continued support responses from the devs. Pros: WORKS! LIFX and Hue compatible DIscrete screen zone light assigments WORKS! Supported Cons: Cannot select screen area to focus reaction around as one can in the competitor " Huey" Suggestions: Use Hue Matcher to live free of frustrations with the persnickety Huey (ie. cannot pair to bridge that was *just* paired and working with) Play with the settings until you get good response times from the lights. I love that you can assign individual lights to focus on different areas of the screen to react to.

Does indeed set your Hue bulbs to colours your mobile's camera sees, with interesting options. For example, set a lamp to the left of your TV to match the dominant colour of the left side of your TV screen, same for the right. This adds a whole new dimension to late night movies. Alas, the app's video function can only maintain this for a very short time -- anywhere from 15 seconds to 10 minutes -- before simply disabling itself. This makes it impractical for dynamic ambient lighting for video, as one must touch the video button again and again to keep it going.

Have to sync the bridge EVERYTIME you open the app! I thought by paying it
will correct the issue as it may have been a trial limitation, but the
issue persist! Imagine having to go to the bridge every time you want to
use the app...that's what's happening!

I can see how well it could work but I constantly get error code 46, every 5 or 10 seconds. It then stops working until I press the video camera icon again. Motorola G4 plus with Android Nougat
