Outfly, outshoot, and outwit your enemies as an outlaw cyborg on the run! You're a cyborg copy of Ypsilanti Rowe, the interstellar outlaw, whose enemies (and exes) are gunning for you. Can you upgrade your brain and pull one last heist?
"I, Cyborg" is a 300,000-word interactive science-fiction novel by Tracy Canfield. It's entirely text-based, without graphics or sound effects, and fueled by the vast, unstoppable power of your imagination.
Being a cyborg copy of the famous outlaw Ypsilanti Rowe comes with plenty of advantages. But when your cybernetic brain begins to fail only a rare and obsolete part can make your systems function again. Journey across the galaxy as you hunt down the missing piece. Along the way you'll shoot down enemy ships, or jam their sensors so they never know you're there; seduce Ypsilanti's old flames—or just stay out of their gunsights; dogfight beneath high-gravity stormclouds and race pirates through a mined-out asteroid's rocky tunnels.
When Ypsilanti turns up in the original flesh, will the two of you make the perfect team? Or is there only room in this galaxy for one of you?
• Play as male or female; gay, straight, bisexual, or asexual. • Boost your skills with cybernetic upgrades: you're a cyborg! • Ambush a weapons shipment above a gas giant's rings. • Smuggle alien pets, penetrate the walls of a comet prison, and befriend an intelligent starship. • Work for the local crime lords, set them at each others' throats, or rat them out to the Intersolar Police. • Infiltrate the halls of power and steal top-secret data with a touch of your augmented fingertips. • Choose to favor your human instincts, your custom software, or a balance between the two.

A fun game and an engaging story. I really enjoyed this sci-fi title, and it was totally worth the price. My only issue was how the game relied on your stats heavily.

Christian Vedsø, you shouldn't review a game you have not actually played. Because this game is ABSOLUTELY one of the BEST! Anyone remotely interested in choose your own adventure games should play this one. Great storytelling, entertaining, and versatile. Really lets you feel in control of your own story. It does seem difficult, especially at the beginning, but it's worth the payoff & that just ups its replay value in my opinion. I honestly have zero complaints, which is rare. I need a sequel!

I have NEVER felt more absorbed by a CYA game than I felt with this. The authors talent for world building is INCREDIBLE. Everything felt incredibly real from character to setting to minor details. Reactions were realistic and dialogue was witty and well written. The setting and concept is Unique, and I felt connected to everything going on and my character so deeply! My first play through didn't go so well for my MC and I felt so much for him, I cried. You're missing out if you skip this!

I could not get into this story at all. The choices don't seem to do anything. The writing drones and uses complicated words where something else could have been better. I started falling asleep while reading this. Not really worth it imo.

Spent $5.99 to be told some purchases failed, and to reinstall the app. Uninstalled then reinstalled the app, then told to do the same again. It'd have been nice to try the full game, but I just want my money back

Only played the demo part, as I couldn't motivate myself to keep going - I played through it twice, and realized that, while you are presented with a lot of choices, few of them are choices at all; most describe your character's attitude to a situation without affecting the situation at all. That's not what I want from my CYA stories, thank you. Some of the writing is quite good, but I feel the game is less choice-driven than it ought to be.
