I'm Not Picky: Where to Eat

"I don't care, you pick." "I'm not picky." Then six restaurants get vetoed and nobody has eaten.

I'm Not Picky is restaurant roulette for two. Tap the dice and it picks a real restaurant near you that is open right now. Don't like it? Thumbs down, or re-roll. Went and loved it? Thumbs up. A small taste engine on your phone learns from every tap, so the dice land on places you will both say yes to — with a few new ones mixed in, because a roll has to stay a roll.

Roll it. Veto it. It learns.

THREE DICE, ONE DECISION
Cuisine, vibe and place. One tap of this random restaurant picker gives you something you can act on: the name, the cuisine, the price level, how far it is, how long the drive takes, how late it stays open, and a Go button that hands you straight to your maps app. Don't like the look of it? Re-roll as many times as you want — re-rolls are always free.

ONLY REAL RESTAURANTS, ONLY OPEN RESTAURANTS
Read the reviews of any other food roulette app and you find the same two complaints: it offered a nail salon instead of a restaurant, and a restaurant that shut down in 2023. So this restaurant picker app checks four things before a place can ever land on the dice. It is still operating. It actually serves food. It is inside the radius you chose. And it is open now — or, better, still open at the time you would really get there, drive included. A closed restaurant is a bug here, not a quirk of the data.

IT LEARNS WHAT YOU BOTH LIKE
Every thumbs up, thumbs down and re-roll teaches the dice. Twenty rejections of one cuisine and it all but disappears. A restaurant you went to last Tuesday sinks for about a week, so no food spinner ever hands you the same burger restaurant five nights running. The whole taste engine runs on your phone — no account, no cloud model, no "AI" doing your thinking for you. Two thumbs down on the same restaurant bans it outright, and the never-again list of banned restaurants is right there and reversible.

DATE NIGHT, SOLVED FOR TWO
This is the part every other dinner picker skips: there are two of you. Link your partner's phone with a six-character code — nobody signs in to anything — and either phone can roll for a restaurant with both people's taste, even when your partner is nowhere near their phone. Or start a live veto round: four restaurants are dealt, you each vote yes or no on your own phone, nobody sees the other's votes until you are both finished, and the winner is revealed on both screens at once. No phone handy? Pass one across the table instead. It is the fastest fix for date night ideas we could build, and the joke is on both of you.

FILTERS THAT MATTER AT 7PM
Which cuisine, how far, how expensive, breakfast or lunch or dinner or late, dine-in or takeout, open now or open when we arrive. Say "sushi tonight" and let the dice pick the restaurant. Set them once and the food roulette wheel respects them, so the restaurant you get is one you can go to.

FREE, AND WHAT PRO ADDS
Free: the roll, the learning, the filters, the never-again list, the history, the export — and three fresh searches a day, with unlimited re-rolls inside each one.
Pro adds: linking your partner's phone, the live veto round, locking a die so you keep the cuisine and re-roll only the place, planning ahead for another town on another night, unlimited fresh searches, and a favourites wheel that rolls only among restaurants you have already loved.

NO ADS. NO ACCOUNT. NO NONSENSE.
No ads, ever. No sign-up, no email. Your restaurant history and taste live on your phone. Nothing is shared until you choose to link a partner, and then only with them. Unlink and it is all deleted, for both of you, immediately.

Ever stood in a hallway with your coats on arguing about which restaurant to go to? This is the app: a restaurant picker, a food decider and a decision wheel in one, and the only restaurant randomizer that remembers what you said last time. Someone said they're not picky. Let's find out.
