InkSwatch Shelf

InkSwatch Shelf is an offline-first fountain-pen ink swatch library built for collectors who choose the next fill by colour behaviour—not by scrolling a generic notes app. Open the app and land on a fullscreen swatch-grid: a dense shelf of rounded colour chips sorted by family. Every chip shows ink name, dominant hue, sheen sparkle mark, and shading depth at a glance, so you can scan your whole collection in one look. Tap any chip to open its ink card. Record name, maker, colour family, sheen level, shading depth, dry-time minutes, bottle vs sample, and free-form notes. Keep a paper-tested checklist (Tomoe River, Rhodia, Midori, copy paper, and more) with typed dry-down observations. Track which pen and nib currently hold the ink, plus the last-filled date—ideal when several bottles are in rotation. Filter the shelf by colour family (blues, reds, greens, greys, and beyond) or by behaviour: shimmer/sheen, heavy shade, fast or slow dry bands. Pin favourites and mark Inked-Now so the grid can show only star picks or bottles on your desk. Use the compare strip to pin two or three swatches side-by-side for hue, sheen, and dry-time contrast before you commit to a fill. A seed library of classic collector inks makes the grid useful before your first custom entry. Local search by ink or maker name narrows the shelf instantly. Everything—swatches, filters, pen/nib assignments—lives on-device with offline persistence, so your catalogue is fast and private at the desk. Built for desk-side comparison when choosing the next fill. No account required. Pure colour shelf, pure collector focus.
