It's one of the best and most hassle-free way to learn Japanese, even stronger and faster if paired with immersion method.

There are a lot of language learning options through this service, and they all use the method popularized by Chinese Pod from the early-2000s. It's a great method. Some of the banter between teachers is kind of cringe, but otherwise the lessons are pretty good. I've used this for Cantonese, Japanese and Italian. The app needs to be updated. Lots of old UI elements and no way to favorite lessons or add them to a custom list.

The free version of this app is not very useful, you cannot make your own personal word bank etc. you can access their videos on YouTube, so no need for the app. Money grabbing. Edit: 2026 all their courses are paid. 8ish pounds for a month. Most playlists, there are only three available and the rest you have to pay for. Disappointing.

Everytime I try to sign up a message comes up saying connect to Internet. I am connected though. Really frustrating as I want to use this app but cannot. So I cannot sign up and can't get to the next step. My Internet is working so it's a problem with your app. Thanks for responding, I've tried that 3 times. It gets up to the part where I choose easy number 1 and press ok. then it says check Internet connection. Still no joy. it's linked to Thai Language.

Good teaching method for a second foreign language but if your goal is english, then the app is pretty poor. Also I miss many functionalities from the website in the app like flashcards and the thematic word lists also poor interactive layer - why not to give us an option to practice the sentences under Word of the day (fx first read the sentence then write it yourself) it's very passive learning and one learns only through active learning
