Great app! It has such a wide variety of meditations and plans that can help you, but it also guides you, so there's no floundering about what to do next. It helps you build the habit of mindfulness & meditation to help yourself on a daily basis. Since consistency is key for meditation & mindfulness, the help/guiding is particularly great.

Too much premium content. I've been on insight timer for years. It used to be great. There used to be a lot of free content. But now they are heavily pushing their premium content. Teachers who used to publish a lot of free content now help us mostly premium stuff. Most of the free content doesn't seem interesting. The interesting stuff is locked behind a paywall.

Like most, it sucks if you have phantasma (the inability or low ability to visualize). And most of the time when I find a meditation that doesn't have the visualization tag, they've got long speeches with short meditations. If I want a speech I'll look for a talk. Searching for Phantasma meditations suck too because they want to talk about it. That would be great if I didn't already have an understanding of it, but sometimes I'd like to have the same kind of meditations visualizers get to have!

Used this for over a decade, but it's become a bloated bazaar of money grabbing mindlessness developed by people who clearly don't use the car crash it has become WHERE HAVE BOOKMARKS GONE??????????? Time to cancel my sub...back to simplicity and mindful intent

This app is pathetic now. You have to take a quiz you can't exit out of about why you want to use the app or haven't used it in a while after an absence of a few weeks. They start the timer with an unasked for chance at a free trial, so I always have to manually go back to the presets in the timer. Every. Time. And then once the meditation is over there is another ad for the premium free trial. I am done with this app for good. It is some cliché money grab social media monstrosity.
