Description
IntelliCover is a utility which uses your device’s proximity sensor to control its display and allow fast and efficient access to your phone or tablet.
It turns the screen turns off automatically when you put your device in your pockets, close its flip cover, store the device in a bag, or even just leave the device facing down on a table. As soon as the device is back in your hand the proximity sensor is triggered again, the screen turns back on and your phone is instantly ready for use.
This improves productivity immensely on large phones or phones that do not have physical hardware buttons.
IntelliCover is more feature-filled than any other similar application on the market. And the best part? It's FREE!
THIS APP REQUIRES THAT YOUR DEVICE HAS A PROXIMITY SENSOR!
NOTE: TO UNINSTALL: Please use the button inside the app to uninstall. Alternatively, manually remove the app from system administrator in your phone's settings and then uninstall like any other app.

*** Frequently Asked Questions ***
Q) Is it really free? Where are the ads? Ans) IntelliCover is completely free and has no ads whatsoever!
Q) Do I require a rooted device to use IntelliCover? Ans) Nope. IntelliCover works on all supported phones and tablets, rooted or unrooted.
Q) Doesn’t using the proximity sensor consume a lot of battery? Ans) Actually, the proximity sensor consumes minimal power, almost little enough to be insignificant.
Q) Why doesn't it work with my dark colored cover? Ans) Sorry, this is a problem with hardware, not with the app, so I can't fix that. Only thing I can tell you is that you're not alone. Pretty much all proximity sensors have trouble with dark colors.

Perfect for my uses. I have a Carbon Blue Galaxy Note with the matching flip cover, using a square of a 3M Post-It Note (TM), I am able to get the proximity sensor to activate when it is placed over the screen. The adhesive in a Post-It Note being what it is, I don't expect it to be harmful to the cover.

After emailing the author about my concern about my phone always unlocking to Intellicover's GUI, I received a reply (or two) detailing solutions to the issue.

The solution that worked for me was to ***back out of the app instead of using the Home button**

Screen goes on and off like a book. Works better than any other app I tried. Put more keywords in the description so it's easier to find: screen on off cover proximity sensor

Thanks! Im looking for this app and i finally found it. The sensor thing does consume battery but its an app, i dont like the apps where you need to shake you phone to turn the screen on/off. Just flip the cover and its good. Thanks again.

Has Great Potential Not doing anything but force closes on my Galaxy S 4G Update 10-12 installed version 1.4, no force close but still does nothing, can get to settings menu now, still wont activate or anything else

Great idea but.... This app is a great idea but ever since I have installed it I have been getting random reboots and periodic unresponsiveness out of my note 2. For now I will uninstall it hopefully it will be more stable in the future.

Doesn't Work on Titan TV Doesn't work on my Cherry Mobile S320 Titan TV. Worst is that it kept turning my screen off when I press the Power Button. Good thing it de activated itself when I removed the battery and turned the unit on again.

Useless in pocket mode A combination of proximity and light sensor would be good. Proximity alone is too easy to trigger on/off with the phone moving around in the pocket.
