Excellent content, works great on Samsung Tab 7" Free downloads of the full content of an excellent and thought provoking magazine and we still complain? Not me. I fully enjoyed reading each and every article. The magazine is designed with tablets in mind and works great on mine. Each issue is about 500MB so a high speed wireless connection is going to be wise. If you have data caps on your 3G or 4G plan you probably want to avoid using it to download issues. It also takes a while to download but the wait is worth it.

Needs Resizable Pages The most significant deficiency that I note (so far) is that the size of pages are fixed relative to that of the display. On a 7-inch display, this works okay if one sees well and is not going to read a lot of content at a time. On a 10-inch display, it might be fine for hours. On a smaller display, this would quickly be miserable. The over-all interface is fine, though not immediately obvious.

Here we go again What is it with The Economist and Android app development? The magazine app was broken for more than a year before being fixed and now this steaming pile force closes on every launch. Such great content deserves so much better.

Get a grip Economist This app is completely useless on the NEXUS10 which runs pure Android. How can a developer issue such an app without trying it on Googl'es flagship tablet first? Yet again the Economist is showing it's outrageous bias towards Apple. It was the same with the Economist magazine which did not issue an Anroid app large tablets for years. I got so fed up I cancelled my magazine subscription. Here they go again! For an economics company they seem blind to the way the OS market is moving. Mobiles are over 3/4 Android now with Android tablets recently gaining over 50% market share. Get a grip Economist!!
★★☆☆☆
Doesn't work on my Nexus 7 Com'on economist. I'm a big fan and you've been getting horrible reviews for this app for a long time. I can't even open it. Why would you even think of advertising this in your print magazine with all the problems it has? I expect a lot from you.
