Finally, the app is working for me. Great content, just needs a search engine that works, can't even search by writer, so type in Alan rushbridger (just the editor) and can't find which articles he's authored. Pretty basic, surely.

Last week I subscribed again after many years - I must have been one of the first subscribers in the very early years in the 1990s - and up until now I am very happy with my choice of joining this mag. As an eternal student of English, I have been enjoying particularly the listening feature so that an article can be read and listened to simultaneously. Moreover, there is an ample variety of issues in many fields and this certainly makes it more attractive for cultural and educational purposes.

While the magazine is wonderful, the app is horrible as you can't even log in, making your subscription pointless.

Not great for actually reading the mag. The app doesn't present an article as a single scrollable column of text, in a font readable on a phone. Instead, it presents a picture of the page, exactly as it appears in the mag, with pictures and ads, and you zoom in on the article's start until the font is readable. Then you scroll around, following the columns of text up and down and around the pictures. When you flip to the next page, guess what, you are put back in full page view again.

Very poor I'm a techie but this app has me flummoxed. Having downloaded the pocket mag app it simply offers me the option of buying the issue or subscribing. Nowhere does it allow me to sync with my Prospect subscription, so I can get the application subscription for free. Very annoying indeed. UPDATE: In settings, go to 'Subscribed Elsewhere' and it's here you enter your print edition details in order to get the app and subscription for free.
