Comments on John GBC Lite for Android

★★★★★ R Welch · May 13, 2024

Fantastic emulator for being free. Fully stable, fast, multiple save states, directory can be chosen by user, and 2x speed are all free. You can not ask for more in an emulator, especially a free one! John GBA Lite is just as good if you need a GBA emulator. The ads are few, short, and usually just after opening the app menus, which isn't bad, and not disruptive like some emulators.

★★★★★ Liam · Aug 12, 2025

It's great. I can play all the Pokémon games that are on the game, boy and Game Boy Color, and the original game boy games are colored

★☆☆☆☆ Albert · Oct 26, 2024

Emulator is crying about directory folder 📂 Please allow the user to specify what directory I should use for data saving

★★☆☆☆ Ryan Card · Nov 26, 2024

Game files not found in the folder there in. At least I wasn't bombarded with ads immediately.

★☆☆☆☆ D Dev · Apr 20, 2026

Adds are extremely intrusive, take over your entire phone if you have the audacity to try and minimize the app, or close it, and force you to wait for a timer.

★☆☆☆☆ Michael · Mar 19, 2026

It not only crashes, but it erases my progress even when I save, sometimes it erases the save file entirely
