By K Selvi, from Google Play“Ormexalia - tap at the right moment and stop blocks inside the target zone”
Description by K Selvi Written by the developer, not by AppBrain. Click to read.
In Ormexalia, every tap is evaluated based on the position of the block. If its centre is very close to the centre of the target zone, the action is rated PERFECT. A placement within the rest of the target zone gives GOOD, while acting before or after the correct position is counted as EARLY or LATE.
PERFECT and GOOD actions award points and increase your Combo. PERFECT has a higher base value, while the score for both types also increases according to the current level. Long streaks of accurate actions can further increase the points earned from each block.
Ormexalia features 20 levels with increasing difficulty. To complete a level, you must successfully stop a specific number of blocks. The requirement starts at four actions in the early levels and gradually increases as you progress through the campaign.
Each level changes the pace of the game. The time required for a block to travel across the entire field gradually decreases, giving you less and less time to react. The interval between spawns also becomes shorter, bringing new blocks onto the screen more frequently.
The size of the blocks also changes in Ormexalia. They gradually become narrower as you advance through the levels, while their horizontal position varies across the field. This creates visual changes between attempts even though the main objective remains precise timing.
The target zone gradually becomes smaller as well. In advanced levels, you have less space to achieve a successful result, so you need to carefully follow the approach of each block. The difficulty level also affects the initial size of the target zone.
Starting from Level 10, Ormexalia can create two blocks during the same cycle. The second block appears shortly after the first, creating situations where you need to prepare for two consecutive actions. This possibility is not active in every cycle, keeping the pace varied.
If you tap too early or too late, the Combo resets to zero and you lose one life. The same happens if a block passes through the entire field without being stopped. If you tap when there is no suitable block near the target zone, you only receive a waiting signal without losing a life.
Ormexalia has three difficulty levels. Easy starts with five lives, uses slower movement, and provides a larger target zone. Medium starts with three lives and uses standard parameters. Hard starts with two lives, speeds up the blocks, makes them appear more frequently, and uses a narrower target zone.
Speed is not the only element that changes between difficulty levels. On Easy, blocks start wider and have more time to reach the target zone. On Hard, they are narrower from the beginning, while the shorter movement time requires faster reactions.
The screen displays your score, best score, remaining lives, level, and Combo. Ormexalia can be paused during active gameplay, stopping the block animations. When the game resumes, active objects continue moving and new spawns continue as normal.
The best score is saved locally when an attempt ends in either victory or defeat and the current score exceeds the previous record. The game also automatically enters pause mode when the application leaves the active screen, stopping the action until you return.
From the slower blocks of the early levels to the faster sequences of the final stages, Ormexalia builds its challenge around rhythm and precision. Follow the movement, wait for the block to enter the target zone, and choose the right moment to tap. Complete all 20 levels to finish the entire campaign.
