By Vin Skidrow, from Google Play“Steer a dough ball, grow it, and fit each doorway's size window”
Description by Vin Skidrow Written by the developer, not by AppBrain. Click to read.
Raisins stick where they land. Heaps of spice cling to the surface and ride along with you. Each one adds a little, and a few of them together add a lot, until the tidy little ball you started with has swollen into something broad and heavy. Flour patches work the other way: roll through one and the dough is shaved down, trimmed back, made smaller than it was a moment ago. The table is a place where size is never settled, only negotiated.
That matters because of the doorways. Each one admits a ball within a given size window and nothing else. Too bulky and you will not pass. Too slender and you will not pass either. So the route you take stops being about reaching the exit and becomes about arriving at it in the right shape. You read the table ahead of you, pick out which raisins are worth collecting and which spice heap would tip you over the limit, and decide where a sweep through the flour is the sensible correction rather than a loss.
A timer keeps the thinking honest. There is room to look at the layout and plan a line through it, but not room to dawdle over every single decision, and that pressure is where the game lives. You commit to a path, discover halfway along that you have gathered more than you intended, and have to improvise a fix — a detour to a flour patch, a tighter turn that skirts the spice, a straight run for the door while you still fit through it.
Fourteen levels take the idea through its variations. Early tables are generous, with plenty of space to grow into and wide windows to aim for. Later ones tighten the margins: narrower size bands, pickups placed where you cannot easily avoid them, flour set just far enough away to cost you time you would rather keep. The same simple drag that moved you through the first table is still the only control you need, but by the end you are using it with a good deal more care.
The mood throughout is warm and domestic — pale wood, scattered spice, the slow satisfying roll of dough gathering what it passes. Tavolo Roll asks one question on every level, and asks it well: do you fit?
