This app and wireless KEF speakers have their quirks but when you get them to work they are truly something special. Try rebooting the speakers in the Google Home app to resolve connection issues. Also, reach out to KEF support! They have been great to me so far.

Why does this require an online account to control speaker settings? The LSX II LT even has a local web UI accessible via its local IP address but the app with account login is required to change audio settings like EQ and sub crossover frequency. What happens WHEN the app gets deprecated or the servers go offline?

The app can't connect and set up a new set of speakers. It errors with a Bluetooth connection timeout, despite Bluetooth working perfectly for many other devices. A workaround if you have a Mac is to connect new speakers to your router via the Ethernet cable, find and configure it as an AirPlay device, which involves giving it your Wi-Fi credentials. Now that you've done the setup that the KEF Connect app is unable to do, the new speakers should show up in the KEF Connect app.
