I love this light, but there are a few things about the app that I think needs work. First thing is the effects, the cloud cover is not very realistic at all. I do love the storm mode, but I wish it was able to be programmed for longer than 2 minutes maximum at a pop. Something similar to eco tech where you can set up a percentage for the chance of a storm or cloud cover and choosing the duration to whatever amount of time you want would be better. Programming a schedule however is a piece of cake. And setup linking the light to Wi-Fi is a breeze.

Functional, simple app. A few tips to ensure success: 1. Use the Wi-Fi direct option. 2. hold your smartphone within 2 feet of light fixture when connecting. 4 Stars because Lunar option is too bright and intensity cannot be turned down, and also because Acclimation option does not display the start/stop date and does not display reduced light intensity during the cycle.

I don't know what the other reviews are about, it connected to the lamp right away but didn't immediately show on the list, but came up after hitting the refresh button. After that, programming was easy.

Excellent very easy to use love the control use of app great if adding coral or fish to turn lights down and the way you can program to suit your tank needs I have a mix of sps lps and soft coral with fish everything growing well and thriving when I've added a few new coral I just go into my program I've set up for low lighting and slowly ramp up every day until I use my main program all on my phone so easy love it I recommend these lights and app

The app is trash... I'm wishing I didn't spend $1600 of these lights. The apps suck, and it WILL not let me connect them together. It just fails 50 times in a row when I try to add the second lamp. I made each light their own program and had to run them like that. Except for the fact their internal clock must be off an hour because I set the exact same settings to them, but they change an hour apart from each other... these lights are VERY frustrating to connect to.

Complete garbage. When trying to connect to the fixture with Wi-Fi the app itself starts to connect at the enter password screen then immediately the wireless connection to the fixture immediately disconnects. 50 60 times it doesn't matter. I have 2 of these fixtures and the software is absolute embarrassment. Kessil this is complete garbage. I'll never buy a Kessil fixture EVER again. Thanks for stealing $1400 from me.

Absolutely terrible control app, even when it works. After about twenty tries. But after that, it still runs extremely slow, constantly glitches, gets stuck in various functions, and simply lacks proper control. I first got one of these lights when they first came out. Figured the app back then just had growing pains. Three years later, it's just as bad. And their only response, including to reviews here, is to contact them. I did, and the reply was useless. Basically said "it is what it is."
