Description

Il Progetto Dryades del Dipartimento di Scienze della Vita dell'Università di Trieste ha creato più di 600 guide interattive a piante, animali e funghi. Per una cinquantina di queste sono state anche sviluppate delle applicazioni stand-alone per strumenti mobile, che però tendono ad avere una vita piuttosto effimera, perché non sempre funzionano dopo gli aggiornamenti dei sistemi operativi. Per questo motivo abbiamo creato 'KEYtoNATURE', un lettore che permette di scaricare su uno strumento mobile qualsiasi guida prodotta dal Progetto Dryades, trasformandola in un'applicazione stand-alone. L'utente deve solo collegarsi in rete, scegliere dall'archivio una delle guide disponibili (eventualmente usando il filtro 'lingua' o una parola chiave), e scaricarla sul proprio strumento, dopodichè la app funzionerà senza bisogno di un collegamento internet. Il tempo di scaricamento dipende anche dal numero di specie incluse in una guida e tende a diminuire con il numero di guide scaricate. Lo scaricamento della prima guida potrebbe impiegare diversi minuti.
La prima versione di 'KEYtoNATURE' mette a disposizione 100 guide, grandi e piccole, a piante vascolari.
