Kids Chore Chart & Allowance

Kids refuse chores. Not because they're lazy — because they can't see the progress or the payoff.

Chore Chart turns every task into a visible win: stars earned, rewards chosen, allowance tracked. Parents assign, kids complete, everyone sees the result on a shared weekly board.

WHAT YOUR FAMILY GETS

1. Weekly chore board — Monday to Sunday grid, one tap marks any task done
2. Star system — each chore earns points; harder tasks for older kids earn more
3. Allowance tracker — link stars to real pocket money, set your own amounts
4. Custom rewards — screen time, a treat, a day out; kids pick what they work toward
5. Multiple children — colour-coded profiles, each child sees only their own tasks
6. Reward redemption — when stars are saved up, a shared moment to spend them
7. Auto weekly reset — board clears every Monday, history stays
8. Offline, private — no account needed, no data leaves the phone

CHORES BY AGE (BUILT-IN SUGGESTIONS)

Under 5: carrying a napkin, tidying toys, matching socks
Ages 6-8: making the bed, loading the dishwasher, feeding the pet
Ages 9-12: vacuuming a room, sorting laundry, taking out the bins
Teens: cooking a simple meal, grocery run, cleaning the bathroom

Each chore gets a point value you set — so the board stays fair as kids grow.

REWARD CHART THAT ACTUALLY MOTIVATES

Vague rewards lose their power in weeks. This app uses a saving model: stars accumulate on screen, the child picks the reward they want, and redemption is a shared moment. The chore chart is the ledger that makes earning visible — not a lecture about responsibility.

FOR PARENTS TIRED OF NAGGING

No morning arguments. No "did you do your chores?". The board answers that question. Kids check off their own tasks; you see the summary at a glance. The star count running at the top of each child's profile keeps motivation going all week.

WHO USES THIS APP

- Parents of 4 to 12 year olds building daily habits without constant reminders
- Families linking pocket money to completed tasks
- Childminders managing different ages and different tasks in one household
- Blended families needing separate task lists per child under one roof

WHY THIS OVER PAPER CHARTS

Paper charts go missing. Tasks go unmarked. Stars get argued over. A digital chore chart resets automatically, records completions with a timestamp, and keeps a running total that both parent and child can check at any moment. Same layout as the fridge chart — always up to date.
