The free Kilter app allows you access to a number of different event programs: Non profit-hosted events, corporate donation matching, team-based company challenges, and virtual races & marathons.

How it works:
Join an event to start competing on an interactive live leaderboard where you’ll earn points based on your activities, fundraise according to your wellness goals, and earn great prizes along the way!
You can compete by simply syncing your health tracking app & devices (Apple Health, Fitbit, Garmin, Strava, Under Armor, Google Fit) to record your workouts, checking into a gym or studio, and/or manually entering activities in our app (all activities count - think yoga, meditation, volunteering, and even playing pickleball)!
Stay connected with your community by following the activities of your teammates, friends, and colleagues right in Kilter. Let them know they rock by hitting the rocks icon next to their activities (our own version of a “like”)!

I like the premise.. the app works well - IF you have a supported device. It gets a little glitchy when uploading from Strava, from an unsupported device. For example, my Samsung active 2 data syncs well from Strava ( also Google fit will upload) but my COROS (main training device) is not supported on its own, so I have to upload through Strava. There is a disconnect during this process. Several of my non- run a tivities - walk - don't earn points for the challenge, despite showing up in my activity feed. Support is awesome & they are constantly working with the users.

I enjoyed this app for many weeks. all of the sudden, I can't check in. when I'm at the gym, it says I am too far from a gym to check in. I have tried logging from all over the building, and I cannot. what changed?? pls fix!

My activity in Strava doesn't tranfser to Kilter. Contacted them, they tried to help but to no avail. I unistalled everything, installed, allowed tracking, still, zero success. Event from work - Miles for Meaning started 3 days ago and I can't participate. Thumbs down.

I have tried 5 google phones with different friends and family, not one of us can get our tracking apps to sync with Kilter. I have tried Google Fit and Strava, neither will sync on to kilter on any device. I am an ambassador for our charity for the miles for meaning program, which we have had a huge community uptake in, and so far I am not very impressed and am worried I am going to have to spend the entirety of March providing tech support. I have a ticket open with kilter, haven't heard much.

We used this platform for a fundraiser for our non-profit organization. It worked for some of our participants some of the time. All in all, it worked correctly for about 70% of our participants and we were able to verify that we missed out on at least 10% of miles logged by our participants. If you are thinking about using Kilter to raise money for your charity, I would be happy to share our experience with Kilter and recommend other platforms that work properly for a fraction of the cost.
