It's ok. Bought premium, no ads still has pay win popups for buying new characters and gems. This style of monetization is really tedious. I'd rather just spend more on a game but so many of them seem to use these annoying mechanics. I've been playing accidentally on hard mode, it's quite challenging but fairly enjoyable. Tower placement is limited, funds in game feel limited, character and tower customization is limited. I like the RPG/TD hybrid theme but the game feels a loveless cash grab.

Sadly the game has the typical mobile monetization gimmick that free games have, by drastically sharpening the difficulty after a few levels in. This requires that you spend more money, or grind a lot of gems. I've played all the Kingdom Rush games on PC and several on mobile. And it's just unmistakable that the same predatory practices and their other mobile games pops up here. Definitely feel cheated. I thought I was buying a premium game, not a freemium game.

While the game can be pretty good later levels have ridiculous balance, enemies like dozens times higher hit points, becomes invisible and pass right through defense etc. That's not strategy I stopped playing in frustration edit: gave another chance for few days, those invisible still just pass right through no matter what I do. Drpped to 1 star
