Kinshift: Family Caregiving

Kinshift is a free caregiver app for families sharing the care of an elderly parent or loved one. Everyone sees whose turn it is to visit or call, covering for each other takes a yes, and a short update after every visit keeps the whole family in the loop.

WHOSE TURN, AT A GLANCE
• Today's visits and calls, and who has each one, the same on every phone
• Your next turn is always on the first screen
• Reminders the evening before and shortly before your turn

TURNS THAT STAY FAIR
• Take turns day by day, keep the same weekdays, or do a week each
• Days nobody needs to come are skipped, so nobody loses a turn
• A count of turns shows who's doing what, four weeks back and ahead

COVER WITH A YES
• Can't make it? Ask everyone, or one person
• The turn stays yours until someone says yes, then the schedule changes for all

AN UPDATE AFTER EVERY VISIT
• Quick tags: meds taken, ate well, low spirits, slept badly, had a fall
• Add a note, and flag anything the others need to know today
• Everyone reads the same journal, so nobody has to ring round

TASKS ANYONE CAN TAKE
• Pick up the prescription, book the eye test, call the insurer
• Give it a day, take it with one tap, tick it off when it's done

CARE INFO IN ONE PLACE
• Medications, allergies, doctors, pharmacy, emergency contacts, door code and routine
• Every helper reads and edits the same ten pages, and can share them as text in a hurry

FOR THE WHOLE CIRCLE
• Brothers and sisters, a spouse, a neighbor, a paid aide: everyone joins with a six-letter code
• No account, no email, no password

Kinshift is not a medical app and doesn't give medical advice. For anything urgent, call the doctor or emergency services.

Free, with every feature. Kinshift is supported by ads.
