This banking app has made my life as freelancer SO MUCH EASIER. I really wish they would've started earlier, because it smashed all my nightmarish years with banks that aren't dedicated to handling business invoices, expenses, taxes etc. And it's available in English! I'm never leaving them.

I'm using the bank account and the tax service and so far it's been great! If you are just starting out as a freelancer, and you don't speak German then this is a lifesaver. They handle all communications and reporting with the finanzamt and answer any of your questions very quickly. Highly recommend

System can't read new passports! Rejected my valid, newly-issued passport. Their ID now system can't process newer passport formats. This affects multiple German fintechs (Kontist, Fin om, Qonto all use ID now). No alternative verification offered. Unacceptable for a modern fintech to reject valid government ID due to outdated technology.

This bank is one of the worst in the market. Nobody will support you even as a paying customer. I've been locked out my account for 2 weeks, as my associated phone number does not receive TAN numbers. Bad support, expensive prices, just use n26 spaces if you need multiple accounts. This is a legal scam.

Underlying Solarisbank is racist. They discriminate against german nationals with non-christian names. You have to proof you are not a criminal, you are red flagged from the start. Also opening an account with nuri and vivid has the same discrimination tactics. Disgusting policy, avoid, boycott any Solarisbank agents.

I don't understand how they operate. I somehow owe 2.38eur to them for accounting which I never used. So I transfer 10eur to cover owed amount. Somehow they don't collect owed amount from these 10eur that are in my account at kontist, and I get a bill every month and I get told that my services are blocked. What a waste of time they are.
