kybd launcher: the QWERTY one.

Bring the speed of a physical keyboard to your smartphone.

At leimo, we created kybd launcher out of a clear necessity. We have always loved the efficiency of phones with physical QWERTY keyboards - where every tool was one keystroke away - but we weren't ready to sacrifice screen real estate. We wanted a tool that follows the "less is more" philosophy: maximum efficiency with zero configuration clutter.

We finally built the launcher we always wanted to use, and we believe you will love it too.

Why choose kybd launcher?
While most launchers overwhelm your screen with loud icons, kybd launcher turns your home screen into a text-based command center - for those who value speed and focus over distractions.

Features designed for high-performance:

• Instant Search: Start typing on the home screen to find apps, contacts, app shortcuts and system settings in milliseconds. Call or text a contact straight from the results, and dial any number you type.

• Search Everything: Optionally search files on your device, and start any query with the web search engine of your choice - Google, Maps, Play, YouTube, Perplexity, ChatGPT and more, in your own order; a shortcut like ".yt" goes straight to one of them. Type an expression and the built-in calculator answers in the results.

• Tags: Give a name to a group of apps, contacts or shortcuts. Type the name, tap the tag, and you see only what belongs to it. No folders, no icons to arrange.

• Keyboard Shortcuts: Assign your most-used apps to specific keys. Launch your mail with "M" or your browser with "B" instantly - plus a second layer of shortcuts under Shift.

• Touchpad Mode: A unique way to navigate - scroll through lists and pages by simply swiping across your on-screen keyboard.

• Widgets Page: One swipe left gives you a clean grid for your favorite widgets, placed and resized freely.

• Quick Notes: One swipe right and you are already writing - with markdown for headings, lists and emphasis.

• Media Control: Manage any active media player from the home screen, drag-to-seek included.

• Notifications at a Glance: Apps with notifications stand out in the list, and you can read and reply to a message without opening the app.

• Home Info: Clock, date, calendar events, next alarm and battery - as much as you want, and nothing more.

• Digital Wellbeing: Stay focused by limiting access to distracting apps, or hide apps from search entirely.

• Made for Every Keyboard: Hardware keyboards and foldables fully supported, plus QWERTY, QWERTZ and AZERTY layouts.

• Seamless Themes: Light and dark modes, accent colors and font choices to match your environment.

Privacy-First & Fair Pricing
In an era of invasive data tracking and endless monthly fees, we take a different stand:

• 100% Private: No data is ever sent to a server. Everything happens locally on your device. We don't track you because we don't need to.

• No Subscriptions: The "PRO" version is a one-time payment that unlocks all current and future features forever.

PRO unlocks keyboard shortcuts, the distraction blocker, hidden apps, media controls, notification quick reply, battery and alarm indicators, accent colors, fonts, date formats and more.
