Comments on Landover - Build New Worlds for Android

★★★★★ Tenbroeck Smith · Jan 20, 2024

Great turn based strategy game about settling land (similar to Settlers of Catan). You play versus bots or people. Each turn players roll dice to determine what resources received and use resources to build roads, towns, villages, ot to advance science, culture, politics. Each player receives points for things like building a town. First one to a predefined score wins. All this is very well executed. There are leaderboards. The game is a bit glitchy, freezes. I think it's server issues.

I found this game after watching a YouTube video of friends playing Catan. It is a fun game that's easy to play once you understand the rules. The fact that we can make and play custom maps is a plus. Literally endless replayability. After the update, I do want to note a couple of things. First, my phone's notification for invites only tell of the game but not what type it is (daily or live). Also, inviting recent players was working before the update. Now, the list won't even appear.

★★☆☆☆ Skylar Kermott · Mar 5, 2024

The game is fun, if complex and harder to grasp than Catan. The problem lies in that the game's most basic menus and systems are fundamentally broken. I tried dozens of times to change my name, start a new game, or merely take my next turn, often met with irritating failure as the game didn't even bother responding. If you can fight through the issues, it's a fun game, but as is it's basically unplayable.

It is my favorite app game ever since now few years... But each time there is a new "update", it is slower and slower... The last one is even more dramatic than before. Can we go back to the simple quick game please? I can't find any fun anymore 😭

★☆☆☆☆ Arvelia Moonstone · Mar 21, 2023

Doesn't work past the tutorial literally every time I start a game with tutorial disabled the AI refuses to end there turn so you're forced to sit there and do absolutely nothing for hours waste of time don't download this broken hack of a game
