I'm using this for Spanish, my first second language. The more you interact with it the better it gets. Ask it for a breakdown of what it just said, explain the construction of sentences, speak in colloquial Spanish, practice weak areas. Fantastic app.

Best app for learning Spanish that I have found. I use it primarily for conversational practice and the feedback, ease of use, and my improvement has been significant. I have a separate tutor but what I like about using the app is I can go over areas that are difficult whenever I want repeatedly, so it is great to use in conjunction with a tutor.

Revisiting this after spending 3 months comparing it to the direct competition. Not only is Langua miles ahead, in terms of the quality of the AI, it's gotten way better just in the last few months. It's still not perfect, but it really is the best for conversation practice. I'm not convinced it's suitable for absolute beginners, but for lower intermediate and above, it's as close to speaking with a real tutor as you can possibly get. I can also confirm they honor the 30 money-back guarantee.

This was a good app. Very, very buggy, but they did say that would be the case for Chinese. However, now it doesn't work at all. You can't send voice messages through it; they just get stuck.

I may bump this up later. Free version only gives you 7 minutes, and I spend half that time asking it to do something differently. AI speech patterns are weak at best. Miles behind Chat GPT. It mumbles through '____' underlines meant to be blanks. It also explains lessons and asks questions in the language I'm trying to learn, so I have no idea what it's talking about. And, it's expensive. IMO, it's not trained well enough and the interface isn't good enough to be twice the cost of Duolingo.

This app is ok. The problem I'm having is that I have to hold down a button to speak a reply. I'm trying to walk and talk but I can't.
