Description by wailfate Written by the developer, not by AppBrain. Click to read.
Choose Wang Geon, Gyeon Hwon, Gungye, or one of the magnates whose names the chronicles kept, and fight for the Three Han — the Later Three Kingdoms of Korea.
■ Magnates are not won by the sword alone
The heart of this game is Submission. Build goodwill with envoys and gifts, and when the time is ripe a whole city comes over to you.
Sometimes winning one man costs less than taking one city.
■ Legitimacy is power
Legitimacy — the right to rule the Three Han — is kept for every realm, from 0 to 1000.
It is no ornament. It runs through the whole state: the odds of winning magnates and free officers, your revenue,
public support, and whether your people stay at all. A realm that loses its legitimacy loses its generals first.
Three roads build it by hand — Buddhist Works that make a temple your patron, the Palgwan and Lantern festivals,
and simply feeding your people well. But the seat of Master of the Three Han is not reached by good rule alone:
only what the chronicles record, like Silla's abdication, opens it.
Play Gungye, and Maitreya's rites take the temples' place.
■ The north at your back
In 926 the Khitan swallow Balhae. Its refugees flow south, and a Khitan empire holding all of Manchuria stands at your back.
Pour everything into the southern war and the northern frontier collapses.
■ Every battle has its turning point
Once in each battle, the tide swings hard — traitors within, ambushes, night raids, collapsing walls, suicide squads, arrogance,
and at sea, tides and pirates. None of it is random. Support, walls, morale, training, intellect, terrain and season call it forth,
and the screen tells you what did. No battle ends without you knowing why you lost.
And on the day the gates open, the lord decides — appease, plunder, or restore order?
What Gyeon Hwon lost in the Silla capital, and what Wang Geon gained by embracing the magnates, came down to exactly that choice.
■ Sea lanes and civil war
The road to Naju is not over land. Only a city with Tower Ships or an officer skilled in Naval Warfare can cross the sea.
In 935 the blades of the Later Baekje court turn inward. When Singeom locks his father Gyeon Hwon away in Geumsansa,
the old king flees to Goryeo — and he knows Later Baekje from the inside.
■ 248 figures, every one of them real
Not a single procedurally generated officer. Where the sources left no name, the seat stays empty.
Each biography tells the life recorded in the Samguk Sagi and the Goryeosa.
