WHY THE ASSIMIL METHOD WORKS Three reasons that demonstrate the effectiveness of the method:
1. It has been tried and tested by learners for almost 100 years. 2. It has been proven to allow a language to be learned in just a few months. 3. It is based on the unique principle of intuitive assimilation, which has been confirmed by cognitive science.

★★★★★
I have my best experience with assimil method so I believe if not the best one of the best methods for sure to learn a new language until an almost advanced level. Of course there's no method that will take you to a really high level if you don't put in to work so I definitely love assimil cuz it gets you as advanced as you could be by studying, when it comes to learn a new language.
★★☆☆☆
the 'complete the sentences' part is incredibly frustrating as both capital/lower case is inconsistent and the letter count is often wrong. even worse, sometimes the actual solution does not get accepted as correct. the book is great, but the quality of this app is atrocious.
