Here's the new mobile version of the legendary Assimil method for beginners and false beginners, with all the lessons in text form and audio recordings by native speakers. A new feature has been added, allowing you to record yourself and compare your pronunciation with that of native speakers.
With 30 to 40 minutes of practice a day, you'll make smooth progress. In just a few months, you'll reach a conversational level that will enable you to talk to friends and express yourself easily in everyday and professional situations.
The level reached corresponds to level B2 (independent user) of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) or level C1 (experienced user) of the "Perfectionnement" collection.

There's something unique and special about Assisi language courses! They manage to combine solid instruction with charm and humor that's hard to match. This app by Holiwave manages to retain the character of the books. Recommended if you're serious about learning a language. I especially like the ability to record your voice and compare your pronunciation to the original. It helps you figure out where you can improve. Holiwave, please bring the advanced French course to this app!

Assisi is my favorite method to learn languages, it's great to have a digital version of the books but would like to have more languages in Spanish and English because I'm not proficient in French yet :(

It was a very nice app for studying. There's no improvement in my opinion. The previous version had much better readability. This bubble version is much more dispersed and doesn't even scroll automatically down during the lesson audio. Also, I couldn't save the review lesson because there was no option to do that. Really a bad experience for me.

Greedy, buggy and very basic features. Recording/playback didn't work at all (no issue in any other app). Price is ludicrous and without paying you only get 7 very short lessons - almost nothing. Had to restart app after login when menu was blank, and I couldn't choose language. I then chose Mandarin and entering pinyin was a nuisance. Translating Mandarin to English meant pointlessly writing the English then grading it yourself. Whole thing doesn't feel ready for release, let alone taking money.

Not only do I find the UX poor, but there are a lot of bugs. Like I am supposed to be able to record myself saying the phrase and play it back, but playback doesn't even work. When describing the pronunciation, words in the table wrap to the next line, so it looks like two words on two lines when it's really one word. Or sometimes the navigation goes to random places. The course material might be great, but the app is confusing and unintuitive. Content needs to be presented properly.
