LitLyric

LitLyric: Your Self-Hosted Audiobook & Podcast Player
Note: LitLyric is a client app that requires you to have a running, self-hosted Audiobookshelf server to function.

LitLyric is the modern, feature-packed client designed to give you complete control over your self-hosted media library. Stream your entire collection of audiobooks, podcasts, and series directly to your Android device, or download them for robust offline use.

🎧 Flawless Playback, Online & Off
Seamless Offline Experience: Enjoy uninterrupted listening. The app intelligently switches from streaming to local playback when a download completes, without missing a beat.

Offline Progress Sync: Never lose your place. LitLyric queues your listening session data while offline and automatically syncs your progress back to your server the moment you reconnect.

Precision Resume: We ensure your playback starts exactly where you left off, whether you're resuming from the app, mini-player, or external controls.

🎙️ The Ultimate Podcast Manager
Take control of your podcast listening with advanced features:

Background Sync: Automatically check for and download new episodes with a configurable background worker (e.g., hourly, daily, Wi-Fi only).

Advanced Settings: Set per-podcast preferences for playback order, auto-download limits (e.g., keep the last 5 episodes), and automatically delete files once finished.

Playlist Management: Easily view, add, remove, and reorder episodes within your podcast playlists via drag-and-drop.

🚗 Built for the Road with Android Auto
Our refactored Android Auto integration provides a stable, seamless listening experience in your car:

Enhanced Stability: Enjoy faster loading speeds and a reliable connection.

Intelligent Controls: Bluetooth/car controls now intelligently seek (rewind/fast-forward) instead of skipping tracks entirely.

Offline Ready: Downloaded books and media appear seamlessly in your "Continue Listening" section even without a data connection.

✨ Organize and Track Everything
Deep Listening Stats: Access a dedicated "Your Stats" screen to visualize your listening habits with GitHub-style yearly heatmaps, weekly charts, total days listened, and current streaks.

Custom Home Sections: Easily customize your home screen with custom chips based on Tags, Collections, and Playlists to quickly access your favorite sections of the library.

Advanced Connectivity: Supports custom headers for users running their servers behind proxies (like Cloudflare Access).
