LiveBridge recognizes playback audio from supported apps and overlays translated captions with the original text.

Screen translation and pronunciation — rolling out from 0.2.76
Available in 0.2.76+ as the rollout reaches you.
• Screen translation: open a separate window from the caption menu. Move and resize the reading region, then translate recognized text from that region into your chosen language.
• Pronunciation: show readings with the original text. Chinese uses tone-marked pinyin above characters; English uses dictionary-based IPA; Japanese uses dictionary readings. Choose romanization/IPA or approximate Hangul where supported. Support varies by language; unsupported options are identified in the app. Unknown words, names and context-dependent readings may be missing or incorrect.
• Move, resize and close the caption and extra windows independently. Read again manually or select automatic refresh.
• OCR and pronunciation run on your phone. With notice and consent, screen translation sends recognized text to the operator's server, not screen images. This text is not saved as caption-improvement records. See the privacy policy for OCR SDK diagnostics. Protected screens and unsupported scripts cannot be read.

Captions that suit you
Choose spoken and caption languages separately. Adjust text size, color, opacity and window height. Move or lock captions, show original text, and scroll through 20 recent captions. Quick settings include speech-end wait.

Getting started
1. Sign in with Google and choose languages.
2. Tap Start live captions, read the server translation notice and download the speech model when prompted.
3. Allow display over other apps and Android audio (microphone) access, used to capture playback audio.
4. Watch a rewarded ad for usage time or choose a subscription.
5. After the connection check, allow screen sharing. Choose the entire screen if offered, then play supported content. See the in-app guide.
End captions with × or the notification's Stop button. Closing only the app screen leaves captions and rewarded-time usage running.

Ads and subscriptions
Free time starts at zero. Each completed rewarded ad adds 20 minutes; rewards stack. Time is used only while captions run and resets when both the app and captions close. Add time opens the ad flow and stops captions; restart them afterward. Free use may include banner and interstitial ads.
Monthly and annual subscriptions remove ads and the caption time limit. Prices, trial eligibility and billing dates appear in Google Play. Trials convert to paid subscriptions unless cancelled before they end; subscriptions renew automatically. Manage or cancel in Google Play. App or account deletion does not cancel a subscription.

Before you use LiveBridge
• Android 12+. Only apps allowing playback capture are supported; protected content is excluded.
• Speech recognition runs on your phone. With consent, recognized text and language choices go to the operator's server. Audio and screen video are not uploaded. No personal PC is needed.
• Translation requires internet and an available server. Audio, device and network conditions can cause errors or delays. Singing is not separated from dialogue. Language support differs by feature.
• Optional caption-improvement sharing requires separate consent and age 18+. Text, context and translations stay on the operator's PC up to 7 days, capped at 20,000 records across accounts. It is optional and not sent to external AI services. Withdraw or delete in Settings; the server stops collection and deletes records when withdrawal arrives.
• Recent 20-caption history is memory-only. Clear it in History, sign out, or close both app and captions. Closing only the app while captions run does not clear it. Submitted caption feedback is separate and kept 30 days. See the privacy policy for diagnostics, account data and deletion.
