Although not as elegant as the iOS solution, this app seems to work pretty well for managing the connection to the pen. It can sometimes be a little slow at the initial connection but I suspect this is down to device subtleties rather than the app itself. My only issue so far has been doing firmware updates which required 2 restarts of the app/pen to complete but each time, it restarted the update where it had left off and continued on it's merry way. Overall, not a bad effort for a complex platform and looking forward to future improvements. to make the process smoother and faster.

Doesn't work on Samsung s4 I have a Samsung S4 running Android 5.0.1, this app can't find my smart pen at all. I've not had this problem with any other Bluetooth devices, so I know it's not my phone. The pen is able to connect to other people's android devices. The list of supported devices shows my phone should be compatible, but it's clearly not supported.

Ignore fake 5 stars This fails miserably - if I want to record I have to press the voice record in my Samsung tablet livescribe paper contols are useless with this app. Audio IS NOT INTEGRATED into notes . In iosapp and with the other livescribeAudio you could touch noe and hear audio audio is separate. It is not a pencast it is a voice memo.is separate. It is akin to having a separate voice recorder while taking notes. Why isn't this app the same quality as the iosapp. Took me 2 days of repeatedly trying to connect smartpen and it works then it doesn't work. Really if this is a preview then it fails
