I live in the states and Locally is a great way I can easily (and for less) transfer money to my loved ones. During my visit in Vientiane, Loca Taxi was convenient and I am able to get a ride for my relative, to the bus station. Great app!

Locally is great if you have "just a bit not enough kip" while in Laos. However 3% + 5000 kip (the latter part primarily) fee makes it expensive to pay for daily purchases under $15-20, and that's the vast majority of purchases in Laos which can't be paid by card! Also while Loca's taxi (good although not the cheapest in Laos) charges me in Kip, Locally charges me in USD despite my card not being American, why? All in all, significantly more losses than cash

Super expensive, expect European prices i.e. $10 for 15 min. Charged when driver can't find address. Find another or rent a scooter for $5 a day!

It's an ok app when you don't have othe options. In general, I would not recommend this app specifically because they over charge you compared to the initial price they show. Expect to pay with 10-30% more at the end. There are some very weird fees added in the bill at the end. Also, I had a driver who added 'parking fee' to the final bill, although there was no parking place used, he just dropped me off.

Such a ripoff app. I used it for taxi first from airport to hotel for 15 min ride costed 107k, isn't it insane for Laos? Also, just to try loca payment with my revolut premium card (means no fx fees), I got something for 60k and ended up paying 71k. The reason is, they're lying about fx rates. They charged 3.33usd, although my account can easily convert local currency, why do you do that? Also, how do you expect to get more people using your app of you do small scams like this? Totally worthless.
