Locket Press

Tell a story the way you remember it and add a few phone photos. It becomes a painted picture book with your family in it: the kids, the grandparents, the dog, the place you went.

The week at the lake with Grandpa. The first morning of school. The night the baby came home.

Say it or type it
A sentence or two is enough to start, and you can change any line.

Painted from your photos
Add a photo of each person in the story: the children, the grown-ups, the dog. Each is painted into the book as a character, down to the yellow raincoat and the bent ear.

Choose how it's painted
Botanical sketchbook, sunlit gouache, block print or soft watercolor.

Every page is yours to change
Edit the words on any page. Paint a page again and every version is kept.

Read it together
On your phone, at bedtime. Send family a link, and turn it off whenever you like.

A hardcover, if you want one
8.5 inches square, 24 pages in full color, shipped within the United States. You approve every page, and a person at the press checks every order before it prints.

Good to know
Locket Press is for grown-ups making books for their families.
The pictures are painted by AI from your photos and your words. A character is a painted likeness, not a photo edit.
We don't train anything on your photos.
Painting a book takes a membership. The hardcover is optional, and ordering one never requires a membership.
