** OBDII ** TripTracker is able to connect directly to your car so that it can read the odometer and calculate the distance traveled. This allows TripTracker to write your mileage logbook 100% synchronized with your car. In addition, various parameters and the error memory can be read. To use this feature, you don’t need to modify your car! You just require a Bluetooth adapter which is plugged in to the cars OBDII interface. Installation is very easy since in most modern cars the OBDII interface is directly beneath the steering wheel. ** Security ** TripTracker provides complete and correct data collection. The mileage logbook’s integrity is ensured by various hash and encryption algorithm. Each entry has its own checksum to guarantee that it isn't changed afterwards or outside of TripTracker. The generated PDF can be signed by one of our servers to ensure that it can't be modified.
** Privacy ** In contrary to most other systems all the collected data is your property. It is not stored somewhere abroad on a Server or a Cloud. The mileage logbook is on your phone in a local high performance SQL database. TripTracker does not sell or analyze your mileage logbook!!
** Backend ** TripTracker has a powerful synchronization mechanism that allows you to collect and edit your mileage logbook across multiple devices. There is also a web interface which allows you to analyze your data on a PC or Mac.

Great app! I have been using it for several years now. The only issues I have is that it doesn't always automatically start when connecting to my Bluetooth in my car, and then it's a pain to go back and manually create the missing trips. I also don't understand the gas mileage calculation. It is always between 3.20-3.60. This makes no sense to me. I get an average of 33 miles per gallon.

I love this app! Mike IQ makes it so easy to categorize and track the miles you go for that business every April you don't need a headache checking your mileage at tax time.

Many good features, looks nice. Does not work with any other currency but USD. Unfortunately, I live in Europe, and travel often between Germany, France, and Switzerland. That means my costs are in Euro or in Swiss Francs. For the price I paid for this app, I expected that Trip Tracker Pro would be able to handle this. Unfortunately, it does not do any other currency than US Dollars. Therefore, the app is useless for me. Still two stars, because many features are nice, and obviously a lot of work went into the app. Strongly suggest to make very clear that the costs are USD only, and not ready to accept any other currency!!! -------- EDIT --------- I updated my rating to 1 star based on the response of the Developer. First issue, the point of reviews is to let other users know about issues. The point of my review is that it is not possible to use different currencies within the App. The response from the developer is that the currency is dependent on my regional settings. So the developer is actually admitting that using different currencies was not foreseen in the development of the App. Second point: I think it is important that all potential users are aware that this is the case, and that therefore it is appropriate to write this in a review. The response from the developer comes across as not very helpful, and instead he seems to be blaming me for publishing this information online. I strongly disagree. To all other readers, beware that you cannot use different currencies in this app.

I spent hours, with the pro app together with a colleague trying to figure out how to extract the data logged the last 15 months. I wrote the developer of the app and got a snotty reply that I was the only one not able to understand. Well my colleague could not as well... To me? Useless... Too much to complicated.
