Loqma – Desi Calorie Tracker

Most calorie apps don't know what a paratha is.

Loqma is a calorie and macro tracker built from the ground up for South Asian cuisine — Pakistani, Indian, and Bangladeshi food. Anda paratha, dal chawal, nihari, biryani, karahi, haleem, roti, aloo gosht, saag, samosas. Every dish your family cooks, properly understood. Not approximated from a Western equivalent. Not missing from the database. Actually there.

────────────────────────
WHY LOQMA EXISTS
────────────────────────

MyFitnessPal has 20 million foods. Search "anda paratha" and you get nothing useful. Search "biryani" and you get an American restaurant version with the wrong macros. Loqma was built specifically because desi food deserves accurate tracking — not guesswork.

WHAT LOQMA DOES
────────────────────────

▸ Calorie & Macro Tracking
Log breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. See your daily calories, protein, carbs, and fat against personalised targets — updated live as you log.

▸ South Asian Food Database
A curated, hand-verified database of desi dishes, built for accuracy. Anda Paratha (انڈہ پراٹھہ), Dal Chawal, Nihari, Haleem, Biryani, Karahi, Roti, Saag, Samosa, Qeema, Lassi, and more — with realistic Pakistani home-cooking portions, not Western restaurant estimates.

▸ Barcode Scanner
Scan packaged food barcodes with your camera. Loqma checks Open Food Facts first, then uses Gemini AI as a fallback to identify products and pre-fill nutrition data automatically.

▸ Personalised Calorie Goals
Answer 5 questions — your age, gender, height, weight, activity level, and goal — and Loqma calculates your TDEE using the Mifflin-St Jeor formula. Want to lose weight? Gain muscle? Maintain? Your daily targets update the moment you change any setting.

▸ Macro Breakdown
Track protein, carbohydrates, and fat separately. Set your goals. See exactly where you are at any point in the day with animated progress bars that update instantly.

▸ Water Intake Tracker
Log your water intake in one tap. Set a daily hydration goal. Get gentle reminders throughout the day so you actually hit it.

▸ Weekly Trends
See your calorie intake across the last 7 days. Track your average protein. See which days you hit your goal. Understand your patterns so you can improve them.

▸ BMI & Ideal Weight
Know your BMI, your BMR, your TDEE, and your ideal weight range — all calculated from your actual body data, not population averages.

────────────────────────
HONEST & PRIVATE
────────────────────────

No ads. No subscription required to use the core tracker. No account needed. Your food logs and body data live on your device only — we operate no servers. Loqma does not sell your data or share it with advertisers.

The only external services Loqma contacts are Open Food Facts (when you scan a barcode) and Google Gemini AI (as a fallback when a barcode isn't found). Neither receives your name, weight, meal history, or any personal information.
