Truly a remarkable learning tool. I admit, I was first skeptical of Lutheranism, but then, when I discovered how rich the theology of Martin Luther really is, it opened my eyes. I have seen Scripture come alive. The Apostles Creed, the Lord's Prayer, the Ten Commandments -- cover so much more than I previously thought. It isn't empty rituals. The free version was great, but if you really want to delve in deeper, my suggestion is to buy the explanations. You won't be disappointed!

This app is awesome as is, but becomes an even greater treasure if you choose to make the one time payment for premium. The full access to the doctrinal explanation on the Catechism is extremely helpful. When engaging in the apologetics of the Lutheran faith this app is indeed a great tool. I highly recommend this app to all, Lutheran and non-Lutheran alike. I also highly recommend Concordia Publishing House.

The explanations are hidden after paying for them. Reloading the app and using "restore purchase" does not help. I was not happy about making an in-app purchase for Luther's catechism as I don't think this type of DRM should be used with essential Christian instructional texts. I am especially displeased having wasted money on a nonfunctional app. If you want to publish this for profit you should charge for the app upfront instead of using in-app DRM, especially since it seems to be broken.

The free version is good, in that you get the whole LCMS translation of the Small Catechism right there on your phone, for free. If you pay for the explanation stuff, you get that, too... sometimes. When I upgraded my phone, I couldn't access the explanation. It used to work on my old phone, but no combination of things CPH told me to do worked. The app acts as if restoring works, but it won't display. They said to tell Google. I have yet to find a way to even do that. Just get the book.
