I've been using Macadam for 2 years and overall I love it. It has a gamification system with small daily challenges that helps you to keep the motivation. Recently I had an issue in my app, but the support team promptly solved my issue.

Good for motivating to walk with the challenges. Only issue I have is trying to cash out, there is very limited spaces on each item. It would be helpful if we knew how many slots were available for each item. I've missed out a couple of times by mere seconds

I highly recommend this app, there is one small thing I'm not particularly keen on though... I'd prefer to have easy access to my funds that I've earned, either by bank transfer or PayPal, whenever I want to, the time slots are so easily taken up in such a short span of time and whether you put an alert on your phone to remind you of the time slots. By the time you get into the app, the slots are all full up to withdraw funds. I've attempted to withdraw my funds 10 different times now and failed

Started out good like many other who have reviewed didn't expect to make a living from this app, firstly the steps expected that translates to coins is quite poor even though from the ads they showed were misleading and secondly macadam decided to change the goal posts by shorting people 5500 steps used to earn you 70 points now it's 6000 for 30 points, I know the economy is tougher, but I'm sorry to say it's a swizz. I am uninstalling because it's not worth my time anymore.

2026 Update: This was once a great app, but at present the cash-out 'seat' system is diabolical. It's now become so hard to actually redeem your earned coins that effectively, they're being held hostage to a 0.1-second window every few weeks. The new system needs an overhaul 2025 Original Review: A fantastic app that legitimately pays you for walking and completing in-app challenges. It can take a while to reach a payout, but when you do reach it, the process time is fast and straightforward.
