Tom and Ula clearly have a passion for learning/teaching, and they shine as they discuss their lives in English and Mandarin, as parents raising three bilingual kids and growing a business. Their free podcasts are honest and fun to listen to. The paid content is great, as it gives you more Mandarin content as Ula discusses life with her close friends in mostly Mandarin and will even sprinkle in English for random vocab words. The stories are great too! Swipe up at the play bar for the vocab!

I love the podcast and I wanted to use this app because the stories seem great, but the Android app is really terrible, and doesn't live up to the quality of the content. Here are some of the problems I found in the week or so I tried to use it. 1. Stories are basically unusable due to crashes (Pixel 5) 2. Views are not put onto the back stack so every time I try to go back I close the app 3. Downloading is impossible due to storage permissions 4. General slowness when loading ...and a lot more

I love Mandarin monkey podcasts in particular but, In the app, pretty much the only free thing is some of the podcasts, maybe make 2 of the stories free for a preview of what we would get?
