I just got into archery, but this app is an amazing. When I started archery around a month ago my aim and form was just horrible. But after some practicing I started to see improvement. The app's Interface is very clean and sleek. Overall it's very easy to use. Connecting this app to my bow was fairly simple as well. The app gives accurate feedback every time and can easily help you improve. This app is basically your free trainer. I would recommend this app to anyone who is new to archery.

Good app although there could be some improvements made: Integration of the full functionality of the Mantis "My Targets" app. Keeping track of the score in the Mantis (x8) app is now not possible. Furthermore the Mantis x8 doesn't usually see my lifting the bow up as that. It shows a green line instead of the turquoise line. Not everyone's bow rests in the same angle. Lastly, the arrow placement is assuming that I was pointing towards where the arrow hit, instead of the middle of the target.

It's almost perfect!! The app works like a charm, and you can record your shooting performance very well. What I would like to have is an option to set the sleep timer of the Mantis sensor. Most of the time, when I go to collect the arrows, and I am back, the sensor is off. That means I need to turn it on, connect, and let it calibrate again. As a result, sometimes I forget to turn it on ... :(Please let me know if there is some option like this, and I am missing it.

App & device usually work well, but are limited. 1) The biggest flaw, I think, is that if Android ever shuts down the app mid-session, the entire session is lost. So, if you switch apps and Android wants to free up memory, the session is toast. 2) The app doesn't always sync up quite right, sometimes it will say that it's ready to record and then doesn't catch the shot(s) until you back out and re-connect. 3) The app doesn't sync the display until you interact with it - so once shots are taken you have to select a new shot or cycle to the history and back to get the screen to update. *** What would really make the entire system more functional is to have a means of exporting the data. Right now, if I want to compare against any other information I have, I can only do so by viewing my past shots in the app, so I'm doing visual correlation which is quite slow and limited. Visual correlation is also limited because every shot I call up has the same default zoom, so I have to spend time zooming in to about 1 degree of angle. This makes it painfully slow to review results for an entire shooting session (limited to 40 arrows). *** Without being able to get data out of the system, it's hard to really make use of the information, and thus it boils down to just a bunch of neat pictures. The shot review and recording needs refinement. With a target compound bow, I only am about approximately plus or minus 1 degree of movement right before and after the shot. If my "shot score" is based on anything else, it's meaningless. I have "shot scores" from 97% to 99% but since I don't know and can't control what is used to compute those values, I can't really assign any meaning to the number. *** The shot placement section of the app could do with some more target faces, arrow diameter settings and the addition of distances that aren't in even 10 m increments.
