Description
Mapolitic allows your elected representatives (at all levels of government) to communicate more effectively with you. Every elected politician in the country can now post information onto Mapolitic which is specifically designed to be viewed by their constituents. By entering a postcode (or allowing the app to detect your location), Mapolitic will determine which politicians have been elected to represent your particular locality and show you any information that that politician has posted onto the site. This means that, instead of having to research who represents you at all the various layers of government, all your representatives can now be found in one place. We realise that politics is complicated and that this discourages many from taking an active interest in the subject. We hope that Mapolitic will make following your local representatives just that little bit more convenient and thereby embolden more people to take an active interest in the work that their elected officials do on their behalf. We have also tried to make Mapolitic an attractive tool for the politicians themselves to use. We want politicians to use Mapolitic calmly, without involving themselves in arguments or chasing approval from other users. To achieve this, we do not allow any comments or 'Likes' to be posted by other users. At the end of the day, we believe that the only place a politician should receive judgement is at the ballot box!
