This app uses Accessibility services. This app will only use Accessibility services to detect the current active app, so it can show the overlay with the apps chosen by you in the configuration.
Note: Android Auto is not supported. Unfortunately Google doesn't allow to show an overlay on Android Auto.

Draw over other apps With this permission Maps Speed Limits can draw the speed limit sign over other apps. Precise location (GPS and network-based) Necessary to read the location and speed from the GPS chip in your device.

So far it works great on my phone, but I found it from a Google search for "android auto altitude" which included an AI hallucination that this app would provide its altitude overlay on the Android Auto display of Google Maps. Please consider adding Android Auto support!

Shuts down periodically, and requires uninstall/reinstall. Edit: it still shuts down, and no response from developer. Edit: Seems to be fine after the update about a week ago. I still like this app because it is unobtrusive when using Google Maps.

Did not work, only zero altitude, and not visible in Google Maps. Visible only after switching to map altimeter app and back to google maps
