Maps Speed Limits shows the current speed limit as an overlay on top of any app, and can warn you when you're speeding. It automatically detects when a selected app is active and displays a clean, customizable speed limit indicator.
FEATURES: - Smart caching: the only app that stores small map areas locally for faster updates and reduced data usage; - Speeding alert: Get notified when you're over the limit; - No ads; - Automatically appears only when one of your chosen apps is in use; - Show or hide the overlay based on Bluetooth connection status (e.g. when entering your car); - Switch between kilometers or miles per hour; - Tap to hide the overlay for 10 seconds; - Change the size, transparency, and on-screen position. Just drag it where you want it; - Works with any app;
Please note that an internet connection is required to get the speed limits from our server.

This app uses Accessibility services solely to detect the currently active app. This is needed to display the overlay only when one of your selected apps is running.
Note: Android Auto is not supported. Unfortunately, Google does not allow overlays to be shown on Android Auto.

It's a very useful app & I find it to be mostly accurate, one or two dead spots in rural areas but that applies to any app. However, it constantly switches itself off in settings/accessibility on my phone (Galaxy S4), can't think why.

Finally - I have the real Speed Limits displayed on top of Google Maps (automatically, as a widget). And it plays a sound when I drive above the speed limit (you can set it up, e.g. only above 10kmh above the limit, and only 1 time or every 60 sec etc.).

Never gives an accurate speed limit. Always has a ? And is nowhere near the actual limit. 50?, 70? Is not a speed limit

This is exactly what I wanted, and it's a great combination with Google Maps. However the subscription cost is not worth it. Although its sister app which displays speedometer is more affordable and worth buying.

Paid for maps speed limits and app hasn't worked correctly since day one, won't start automatically as it's supposed to, have emailed there support four times, and they have not responded. If it is not going to work I think I should have a refund of my subscription.

I downloaded to get alerts if I sped, that part worked fine, but the speeds were totally out of whack, for example; I knew I was in an 80 zone but was telling me I was in a 100 zone, also had it beep at me for speeding in a 110 zone because it thought the zone was a 70 zone. I'm deleting this app and canceling my subscription until you can fix this issue.
