★★☆☆☆ I don't mind rhythm based or quick timed combat in moderation, but an entire system based on those elements gets dull quick. It makes the game less about strategy & more about how quickly you can hit your keypad. However, the art style is gorgeous and I love the premise. If the combat was more engaging I would re-download it so effin' quick.

★★☆☆☆ Fantastic and unique visual style, and interesting gameplay mechanics. HOWEVER, this game has 1-time-use power ups, weapons, and other microtransactions, which are almost always a really bad thing in skill-based games. That's because players tend to spend money on microtransactions if they are having difficulty progressing, which incentivizes the developer to make the game unfairly difficult past a certain point. So, games like Marginalia Hero and Candy Crush are a total grind, which isn't fun!
