Description

Marienbad is a strategy game of the Nim games category. It is played by two with matches. With this program you will be able to play 2 but also alone, the program making the other player game.

Matches are spread over 4 rows and, in turn, the player takes one or more matches in one row, and the one who takes the last is the loser...

Its name comes from the movie "Last year at Marienbad" who had popularized it 50 years ago. You can play like in the movie, 2 or alone, or play multiple variants by changing the initial number of matches, and even play the loser wins.

To play is simple, select your game mode then "Go", the game board is displayed with the name of the player whose it is the turn. Select a match, it moves to the right by pushing its neighbors, select "Play", these matches are removed and the player's name is changed ...

In the Nim games, you can find winning strategies by calculation (calculations are simple for Marienbad). If you find the game in a favorable situation, you can make a winning stroke, the opponent can only put again game in a favorable situation, and can only win if you make a mistake later.

The choice of the beginning player is very important. According to the initial situation of the game is favorable or unfavorable, he is very very advantaged or disadvantaged.
